Managing the shift from hard to soft-sided coolers. When consumer preferences shifted from hard to soft-sided coolers, category leader Igloo looked to Lapine for guidance in that transition. After conducting trend research to understand the consumer dynamics of this shift, Lapine led the design, manufacturing and delivery via direct import for the new program. We also worked with a manufacturing partner in the soft-sided insulated space to focus on a long-range, omni-channel product development strategy. Today, soft-sided coolers are driving Igloo’s record-pace growth and profitability – a fashion-driven offering that has earned them shelf space at specialty retailers and department stores. Nothing’s cooler than a hot concept, well executed.
