The Perfect Gift
Consumers want to feel good about their purchases and want to share that “feel good” experience with others. Expect more shoppers to be on a quest for luxury and handcrafted gifts, as well as gifts that are eco-friendly, support causes, and celebrate inclusivity and diversity, that will leave a lasting impression while helping to make the world a better place.

- An unprecedented number of startup businesses in the past year, combined with the growing popularity of social marketplaces will give consumers plenty of opportunities to find unique, one-of-a-kind gifts. 29% of shoppers are prioritizing exclusive, limited edition products, and 21% are making an effort to shop in pop-up stores that sell limited edition products for the holidays.
- Social media as inspiration, and a more hybrid, online and brick-and-mortar, shopper journey, will facilitate discovery of new and unique gifts to give. 39% say online influencers are the best source of inspiration for gift ideas this year.
